The annual Currabubula Red Cross Art Show will open on Thursday, May 18 at 6pm. The cost is $20 per person, with all proceeds to go to the Western Region’s programs. More than 500 painting will be on display until Sunday, May 21. All paintings are for sale. The hall will be open from 10am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Entry is $5.

TRIVIA NIGHT
Gunnedah South School will host a Trivia Night at the Gunnedah South School Hall on Friday, May 19 at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. BYO food and drinks. Bookings are essential. Tickets are $15 per person with tables of eight. Lots of prizes to be won. This is an over 18s event. There will be a prize for the best-themed table.

GUNNEDAH MARKETS
Come down to the markets at Wolesley Park and browse the variety of stalls. There's a good choice of locally grown seasonal produce, pre-loved books, woodturning, raffles and fundraisers, knick-knacks and gadgets, face painting, jumping castle and lots more from 8.30am to 1pm.

PUREBRED POULTRY AUCTION
The Gunnedah Poultry Club will hold its annual Purebred Poultry Auction on Saturday, May 27. More than 300 entries are expected at the Poultry Pavilion at Gunnedah Showground. Some proceeds will go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and the auction starts at 9.30am. For more information, contact Bert Hewitt on 0428 420 905.

BUSHFIRE CHARITY BALL
The Bushfire Charity Ball will be held at Gunnedah Town Hall on Saturday, May 27. Funds donated to victims of the Sir Ivan bushfire and the local Rural Fire Service. Entertainment by the Budgie Smugglers. Tickets are $100 and include entry, canapes, a main meal, dessert, two free drinks and entertainment.
