This year at Boggabri Public participated in two swimming carnivals – primary and infants.
The primary swimming carnival was held at the Gunnedah Memorial Pool. The carnival involved those students turning eight years of age, up to Year 6.
The school said it was a fabulous day. It was very pleasing to see so many children having a go and getting a point for their house for participation.
The infants swimming carnival was held at the Boggabri pool. It was an excellent day filled with age races and plenty of novelty events ensuring all students had a great day.
The school would like to say a huge thank you to the large number of parents, carers and friends who came to support and also to the helpers who helped made the days run smoothly.
Sacred Heart said it was impressed by its students’ efforts at its swimming carnival despite the high heat.
The school said the students’ enthusiasm, talent and stamina was a testament to what makes the school so great.
The carnival displayed all characteristics of great sporting events - it was relaxing and enjoyable and all participants were encouraged to try their best regardless of swimming ability.
The school said all students showed great sportsmanship and it was a pleasure to see the school spirit both the Cox and Namoi houses displayed.
Special mention went to Katie Goddard for all the time and effort she put in to ensure the day was a success, and the PTF members and volunteers who helped to make the carnival an enjoyable day.
