A MAN has been charged with drink driving and driving in a manner dangerous after he was allegedly spotted speeding down a Gunnedah street.

About 11.30pm, police were patrolling Kilcoy St, near the intersection of Wandobah Rd, when they claim they saw a Holden Commodore utility being driven at speed.
Officers pulled the ute over shortly after.
A 21-year-old man behind the wheel was breath tested and failed a roadside test.
He was arrested and taken back to Gunnedah Police Station where he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of .062.
He was charged with low-range PCA and driving in a speed or manner dangerous to the public and will front court at a later date.
Officers will allege in court the man was travelling at a speed greater than 150km per hour in a 100 zone.
