Organiser Amber Donoghue said the Charity Golf Day event held on October 11 was the “biggest and best by far”.
While the money has yet to be tallied, the day is believed to have raised about $20,000, twice as much as past events.
The auction raised more than $11,000, with a winning bid of $6000 for four rounds of golf at one of Australia’s most prestigious golf courses.
Other items included a Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
The shotgun start at 11am saw about 160 players trundle off for a round of golf at Gunnedah Golf Club.
Following a competitive round of golf, players were treated to a barbecue featuring the PRAMS sausage specially designed by Namoi River Meats, entertainment and the auction.
Money raised from the event will go towards equipment at the Gunnedah District Hospital.
