Following a number of impressive preseason trials against Inverell, Scone and North Tamworth, the Bulldogs are keen to get on to the real deal.
And they don’t have to wait long.
This weekend will see the annual West’s Knockout being held at West Tamworth’s Scully Park.
With a solid preseason training schedule behind them, and a number of exciting new additions to their playing roster in all grades, the Bulldogs go into the new season with confidence and a new-found determination.
Friday night’s season launch provided the Bulldogs players, sponsors and supporters with the opportunity to get together for a social ‘meet and greet’ and share the Bulldog’s enthusiasm.
A highlight of the night was the announcement of the bulldogs’ major club sponsor for 2013, RYCO Hydraulics.
Former local Tim Jeffrey is now calling the shots for RYCO in the North West and he took the opportunity to let the Bulldogs’ faithful know that RYCO was delighted to come on board as major sponsor and were looking forward to a long term partnership that will see many successes for the RYCO Bulldogs.
While the Bulldogs may have had a change of first grade major sponsor, Club President Ray McCoy was delighted to confirm that the clubs other major sponsors have all re-signed for season 2013.
These include Lakeford Real Estate (Reserve Grade), H&M Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Under 18s and under 16s, Wayne Cadman Financial Services.
Sleeve sponsors are Lambert & Torrens and JA Berry’s Home Timber & Hardware and the goal posts/shorts sponsor is the Gunnedah Services and Bowling Club.
“The Bulldogs are also well supported by a number of long-term corporate sponsors including Ridgy Didge Pies and the Mornington Butchery and many more,” said McCoy.
In making the announcements, the Bulldogs also acknowledged the club’s appreciation for the valuable support by the clubs former first grade sponsor, Greg Hill and the team at Ag-Fix Hydraulics.
The Bulldogs will continue training at Kitchener Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights, starting at 6pm.
New players are welcome to join the Bulldog Kennel for season 2013.
