The staff at the Gunnedah, Tamworth and Armidale branches have swapped their uniforms for flannelette shirts in aid of Drought Angels.
The bank said it was committing $100,000 to Drought Angels support rural communities across its branch network, with any additional funds from Friday’s initiative to be added to the donation.
Gunnedah branch manager Jacqui Bull said it was great that the bank was getting involved in drought relief.
“We’re supporting our local community and feel privileged to work for an organisation that gives back to its local area,” she said.
Greater Bank customers and the general public are also being encouraged to drop in to their nearest branch up until October 30 to show their support by making a donation. To donate directly to Drought Angels, visit www.droughtangels.org.au
