With thousands of visitors flooding through the gates across the three days, many sought support and advice from services such as NSW Local Land Services (LLS).

Gunnedah LLS member Dale Kirby said it was pleasing to see so many people seek information from the NSW Goverment’s AgQuip stand.

“We had so much on offer during AgQuip, including representatives from services such as the Rural Financial Counselling Service, NSW Rural Assistance Authority and LLS,” Mr Kirby said.

“From our perspective it was very pleasing to see people who are dealing with and combating the drought well at this stage, come and check out what was on offer for them in terms of their next step.”

Mr Kirby said many visitors had sought information on limiting the impact of future droughts.

“It was great to see so many people discussing and seeking tips to help limit the impact of drought in the future,” he said.

“There was so many good conversations had during the event on those topics.

“As well as that, there were great conversations had about a range of topics throughout the event including things like bio-security, managing the risk of illegal hunting and pest animals.

“That’s the beauty of events like AgQuip I think.”

Mr Kirby said services like LLS would always be on hand to support locals.

“Even though AgQuip has wrapped up for this year we will continue to be around,” he said.

“The best way for people to get any information they need is to drop into their local LLS office.”
