On Saturday, Woolworths stores in Gunnedah and Tamworth will donate all sale profits from their fresh food departments to Rural Aid’s Buy a Bale appeal.

This means all profits from sales of fruit and veg, meat, the chilled section, bakery and deli at Woolworths stores in North West NSW, supermarkets nationwide and online will go towards drought relief.
“We anticipate support to continue and are preparing for a big weekend ahead,” Gunnedah store manager Alastair Hulley said.
“The donation will go towards funding more stock livestock feed, household supplies and counselling services to farmers in drought-affected regions, both locally and across the nation.
“Our Gunnedah customers have been extremely generous in their support of Aussie farmers, with over $2000 raised over the past week. We also donated a range of products to a fundraising barbecue, which took place earlier today. It’s great to see the local community rallying together for such an important cause.”
North West NSW customers can also donate to the Buy a Bale appeal in store at Woolworths stores in North West NSW, or any other Woolworths, Woolworths Metro or Woolworths Petrol store, as well as Woolworths Online. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and 100 per cent of the funds go to Rural Aid.
