The annual three-day festival featured a number of events associated with the art show, which took place at the Royal Theatre.
It’s been a busy weekend.

Supporting the Art show over the weekend was the Christmas in Quirindi event, which saw George Street close on Saturday with market stalls, competitions, a visit from Santa, the announcement of the Christmas lights competition winner, and the Sunflower Arts Festival at Quirindi Royal Theatre.
“It’s been a busy weekend,” Liverpool Plains Shire Council mayor Andrew Hope said on Sunday afternoon.
“We’ve had the main street closed for Christmas in Quirindi, which is run by the Chamber of Commerce.
“It was really well attended. The sunflower art show was also well attended with 80-odd artworks being entered.”
The weekend culminated with Christmas Carols by Candlelight at the Rural Heritage Village on Sunday night, run by Quirindi Ministers Fraternal. St Auburn’s Anglican Church, Harvest Christian Centre and Quirindi Christian Fellowship loaned their instruments and vocals to the annual event.
