Along with their carer Tammy White the NVI followed the duo as they visited 17 local business to deliver them their weekly news.
Having started the paper route six months ago, Ms White said the team had earned more than $100 for themselves.
“We buy and sell the paper at it’s usual price,” Ms White said.
“But often people are very generous and give them a tip which is always greatly appreciated.
“It’s not about the money it’s about giving these boys an opportunity to get out in the community and interact with everyone.”
Ms White said she “loved seeing them so happy.”
“It’s nice to see so many locals get behind them, it brings me a lot of joy to do this with them every week.”
Ms White said the team have used their enthusiasm to build their regular client base.
“They love to interact with everybody on the route,” she said.
“They look forward to it every week and I think that and their enthusiasm has helped them form a regular client base and friendship’s with all the people they see along the way.”
