Frey picked up the gong – along with the highest A grade peg out – at the league presentation night in late November.
Gunnedah Mens Dart League treasurer Patrick Williams said it was no surprise to see Frey at the top of the list.
“He’s won before,” Williams said.
“He’s probably one of the top players in Gunnedah at the moment.”
There was a massive turnout at the presentation with about 160 people turning out.
That number is a reflection of the continually-growing dart league.
“It’s been getting bigger. We’ve had 18 teams consistently for the last two or three years now,” Williams said.
“There’s a fair few young blokes coming through.”
