After moving through to the mixed final – made up of the eight fastest dogs from the heats – with a win the week before, Blame Lenny ran a millisecond faster than his qualifying time to beat Cedar Jazz and Muscogee.
The Barry Evans-trained dog secured the $1200 winner’s cheque in a time of 25.36 as Blame Lenny won it’s second race from three starts.
Blame Lenny wasn’t the quickest over the 440 metres on the night, though. That accolade went to Evie's Best in the Gunnedah To Maitland Heat 3.
Evie’s Best ran a time of 24.85 to take her career record to 28 wins from 53 starts.
She’s very, very quick. She’ll be very hard to beat.

The win earned her a spot in the final at Maitland on Thursday with a $2000 winner’s purse up for grabs.
Gunnedah Greyhound Racing Club president Geoff Rose said Evie’s Best would be hard to beat in Thursday’s final.
“I think she’s drawn box seven but it doesn't really matter, she flies out,” Rose said.
“She’s very hard to run down.
