Almost every lady member gathered at the club to present awards to this season’s top performers.
Ladies president Coral Lorimer said the presentation ceremony was a great celebration of an enjoyable golf season.
“It’s been a fabulous year,” Ms Lorimer said.
“Today has been great for us to reflect on the season, have a drink and enjoy each others company.”
Sally Toppin claimed the club champion award for the 14th time in her tenure with the club.
The division two champion award went to Judy Lee while Jane Bray claimed the division three champion award.
Ms Lorimer also said the event was a great opportunity to recognise members who work hard behind the scenes.
“Firstly the greens keepers have done a terrific job all year, the course looks great.” she said.
“As well as that, it is an opportunity for our members to congratulate Jeanie Palmer who was awarded a life membership to the club at our recent AGM.
“They don’t hand those awards out lightly, and Jeanie has held every position imaginable around our club and is an all round lovely lady.”
Over the summer months the club will be hosting Tuesday morning nine hole competitions and Saturday morning 18 hole competitions for ladies.
Luke Ryan from ‘Local Pro Golf’ and the Gunnedah Golf Club will also be providing free golf lessons every Sunday morning from December 3.
The lessons are open to both male and females with all equipment being provided.
