It was the first TAB meeting at the track since its refurbishment which meant there was more prizemoney on offer opposed to non-TAB meetings.
The extra value wasn’t just for the trainers and owners, though, with plenty of non-favourites getting up.
The best value of the night came from the opening race when $14 chance Squiggle Surf saluted.
A $5.50 and an $8.50 chance got up in the next two races before a $2.80 shot – which was the second favourite of the race – came through in the fourth.
The first favourite to come through was Chilling Fantasy in the fifth.
The Andrew Bell-trained greyhound still provided some juicy odds at $3.50 in an open race.
Bell backers would have been celebrating as Bell trained the quinella in the 440-metre race with Cedar Drama finishing second.
