Over 126 people hit the green, with team Renton – consisting of John Millerd, Ken Renton, Jon Renton and Angus Renton - taking home top prize in the four-ball ambrose. Team Grosser came in second, with team Scott in a close third.
Nearest the pin on the second hole went to Don Whiteman (men’s), Kay Clarke (ladies) and Lincoln Stewart (non-golfer). Dale Holmes (open) stepped up to the tee for the nearest the pin on the seventh hole, while Ken Doyle (open) placed on the 12th and Peter Birch (open) on the 16th.
Prizes for the straightest drive went to Jason Perrett in the men’s section, Kay Clarke for the ladies and Heath McIlveen for non-golfers.
“We would like to thank everyone for supporting our Charity Golf Day – the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s game – and a lot of people came on board to support a great cause,” PRAMS Chairperson Kim Street said.
“We had a huge number of sponsors get behind the day and it couldn’t have been possible without them all.
“The Golf Day is our biggest fundraiser for the year and we are pleased to be able to tick more items off the Gunnedah Hospital’s wishlist–being much-needed medical equipment, to improve the hospital environment and to support community health services.”
Golfers were entertained by musicians from the Gunnedah Conservatorium, followed by a presentation and raffles to raise further funds for the hospital.
PRAMS (PaediatRicAnd Maternity Support) is a committee of dedicated women who are passionate about the local hospital being in a position to provide the best possible care for the Gunnedah district.
