As part of Gunnedah Shire Council’s school holiday program, kids were given the opportunity to play the drums.
The event was hosted by Judy Kavanagh and Karen Worboys from Gunnedah Family Support and gave kids the chance to get in touch with their musical sides.
“The idea of the event is to help people find a rhythmic voice for development,” Ms Kavanagh said.
“Rhythm to recovery is for people of all ages, from kids to senior citizens and is designed to help in recovery from whatever it is your going through.”
Ms Kavanagh also said the kids had a wonderful time experimenting with the drums.
“Everybody has had fun today, it’s been loud at times but giving these kids a chance to experience this program has been great.”
The Gunnedah Shire Council’s school holiday program is running for the rest of the school holidays with events happening all week.
