Playing for the Tamworth representative side in the inaugural Women’s State Cup, the Gunnedah FC player scored the Wayne May-coached side’s only goal of the weekend.
It came in their final game against Mayfield United and put them briefly ahead.
Unfortunately though the Newcastle side replied with four unanswered goals before half-time as they went on to win 5-1.
The first tournament of it’s kind in Northern NSW, the three-day event involved 16 club and representative sides. Rankmore’s Tamworth side finished fourth in their pool after playing out a 0-all draw with Garden Suburbs in their opening game before going down to premier league side Adamstown Rosebud 8-nil.
May said it was a great experience for the girls, especially playing against premier league sides, and said they all enjoyed it.
