Youth Insearch received a $30,000 boost thanks to a grant from the Commonwealth Bank.

The bank will provide the youth support program with $10,000 for the next three years.

Youth Insearch general manager Stephen Lewin said the money would stay local, helping about 50 kids attend the program’s weekend camps each year.

“To have the Commonwealth willing to support us sends a good message to other organisation that we have a program that works and is worth funding,” he said.

“This is a big help to the delivery of our program in the New England region.”

Branch manager the Gunnedah Commonwealth Bank, Elizabeth Algie, said the tireless and far reaching impact of Youth Insearch’s work was a crucial factor in it receiving the grant.

“It’s fantastic to be able to support local charities like Youth Insearch to continue their invaluable work in our community,” she said.

“Commonwealth Bank is committed to helping these organisations in their mission to support local youth.”
