Despite playing with a broken big toe, Pryor slotted five goals to spark FC to a 7-1 win over North Companions.
Coach Andy Cygan opened the scoring after five minutes after a good ball from James Tenney but was soon forced off injured with a recurring calf issue.
Zac Crowhurst was outstanding and got the second with a good run and low finish. He then unselfishly squared to Pryor who tapped home for a 3-0 half-time lead.
Pryor soon had is hatrick with a great finish with his left foot from the edge of the box. His fourth was a cool lob after going clean through.
North Companions got one back after the defence switched off.
Pryor then finished the game with a turn in the box and a low finish.
The win earned Gunnedah the minor premiership with still two games to play. In 26 league games since forming they have lost just one.
In reserve grade it was a case of missed chances, Cygan said, as they were defeated 1-0.
He said they had their chances, in what was a very even game, with Amelia O'Donnell almost getting her first goal for the club.
Bailey Keeler kicked over when clean through while Jordan Barnes ran from the halfway line beating several players before the keeper pulled off a fine save.
Rowan Keeler went off injured after a clash with the keeper and will hopefully be back by the weekend.
“We've shot ourselves in the foot as we now play the unbeaten OVA knowing we'll need a win to remain in second,” Cygan said.
“Staying in second will give us a second chance at reaching the grand final.”
“In first grade Rob Pryor just shows what a talent he is. He has now scored 11 goals in his last two games and he started on the wing in both.”
“Players have been reminded they are playing for places and I hope to see players pushing for finals spots in the next two weeks.”
