The former Victorian galloper, bought by Torrens on an Inglis online auction for $7000, had been last early before delivering a winning burst to grab a third career win at start number 21.
A five-year-old daughter of Star Witness, the bay mare was having her third start for Sally and her brother and sister-in-law, co-owners Richard and Anne Torrens.
With pace on from the start, hoop Belinda Hodder was able to save Guilty as Sin for one last run and she swamped the opposition to beat favourite, I Am You Are, by two lengths with Col’s Tiger a length and a half away third.
Torrens has 13 horses in work at her Gunnedah stable and is delighted with her newest winner.
“Her first two runs were quite good for us,” she said.
“There was plenty of pace today and that let Belinda sit back and find the fast lane down the outside. She rode him a treat.”
