Ambulance and police rushed to the property off the Prairies Rd at Kelvin shortly after 6pm following reports a young girl had suffered burns.
Paramedics assessed the two-year-old girl for serious burns to her head, including her face.
Police told Fairfax Media an incinerator at the property exploded shortly after 6pm, injuring the girl who was with her father at the time.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked with a specialist medical team on board from Tamworth and landed in a paddock on the property.
The doctor and paramedic treated the girl and took her by road ambulance to the Tamworth airport where a fixed-wing retrieval team from Sydney was tasked.
The young girl was stabilised and flown to the specialist burns unit for treatment, where she remained in a stable condition on Thursday morning.
It’s expected the young girl will undergo surgery on Thursday.
