A man has been charged with driving while under the influence of methamphetamines.

Just after 2.30pm on May 15, police officers stopped a 43-year-old male driver on Barber Street, Gunnedah, where he was subjected to random breath and drug testing. Police said the roadside test indicated the man was positive for methamphetamine.
He underwent an oral fluid test at Gunnedah Police Station and as a result he was charged with driving with an illicit drug present in oral fluid. The man will appear at Gunnedah Local Court on the charge.
Police are appealing for information after a gas bottle was stolen from a Beulah Street address. Sometime between 4pm on June 24 and 9am on June 25, a large gas bottle of about 88 litres was stolen from the address. Police said the bottle wasn’t removed by the suppliers.
