With winter in full swing across the New England and North West, Gunnedah can expect some more cold frosty mornings in the coming week.
The mercury hit a low of two degrees on Tuesday, but welcomed rain on Wednesday saw a warmer low of seven degrees.
Gunnedah recorded 3.4mm of rain on Wednesday, before the deluge set in and a further 14mm had been recorded by 9.30am Thursday morning.
Frosts are expected for the rest of the week, with one degree forecast for Friday morning before the temperature drops to sub-zero on Saturday and Sunday.
