The youngster also recorded a pleasing time of 27.95 seconds in the open 50m freestyle for fifth place.

Maddie Coombs contested the 14 years division, winning the 50m freestyle and butterfly with second place in backstroke. Maddie recorded improved times in every event.
10-year-old Brodie Coombs has been working hard towards medal placings and his determination was rewarded at Armidale with a bronze in butterfly. He also finished a close fourth in breaststroke and the 100m backstroke. He attempted the individual medley for the first time as well.
Cooper Williams continued his good form from the summer carnival circuit, with a personal best and gold medal in breaststroke and massive improvements of 11 seconds in the 50m fly and medley where he grabbed the gold.
Jedd Rennick also competed in this division, eclipsing his personal best in the fly and 200m freestyle, while younger sister Brooke slashed 11.03 seconds from her entry time in breaststroke and was just nutted out of a medal in backstroke.
The carnival was held at the TAS indoor pool, with the club now gearing up for the Gunnedah short-course meet on July 16.
