Gunnedah library has plenty of both.
The library provides a free delivery service for those who are housebound.
If you know of anyone elderly, fragile or ill who would benefit from the library’s service, they can be joined as a housebound member, and have books chosen and delivered to them every fortnight.
They just need to complete an application form, a short questionnaire listing their reading preferences, and whether they prefer large print or talking books, or just normal books and magazines, and they will be added to our delivery run. And best of all, it’s free!
The Family History group meet at the library on Friday from 10.30am onwards.
New members are welcome to join the group who wish to untangle the mystery of their past, or simply want to explore the history of the local area.
Plenty of new books have been added to the library collection during the past week.
Now available for loan are Jewel In The North, three families, a long-standing feud, and a quest for love and survival, the latest novel by Tricia Stringer.
There is also Stars Across The Ocean, an unforgettable novel of secrets, and learning where you belong in the world by Kimberley Freeman.
Other new books available at the library are Red Sister by Mark Lawrence and Sunday Morning Coming Down by Nicci French.
