One Australian is diagnosed with cancer approximately every five minutes, the length of an average tea break.
Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council’s largest fundraisers and Oak Tree has partnered with Just Country to present a fashion parade at the event.
“We like to immerse ourselves in the local community and show our support by raising funds for a worthy cause,” Oak Tree Village Gunnedah manager Kathryn Blinman said.
“We have teamed up with Just Country and it will be great to showcase one of their seasonal fashion parades at our community centre.”
Just Country’s Taylah Hudson said they love to inspire clients with latest styles and are pleased to support the fundraiser.
“We will be showcasing our beautiful range of winter clothing,” Taylah said.
“Partnering with Oak Tree is just a way for us to help out a fantastic organisation that benefits our town and to have fun in doing so.”
One in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.
Oak Tree’s Biggest Morning Tea will be held at the village community centre, at 4 Favell Street, Gunnedah on Saturday, June 3, from 10am.
All are welcome to attend.
Entry is $10 per person, with all proceeds going towards the Cancer Council’s research, support, prevention and advocacy programs – with the aim to provide a cancer free future.
