Relatives and friends of the late Monica Ducrow have been invited to attend her funeral in Gunnedah next week.
A funeral notice published in the NVI on Thursday lists the many family hearts touched by her sudden death.
“Adored grandmother of her 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, adored by all,” the notice read.
A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10.30am, before internment at the Memorial Park Lawn Cemetery on Wandobah Road.
Mrs Ducrow died tragically last weekend after she was hit by a car in Gunnedah.
RELATED STORIES
Her death drew countless tributes and words of remembrance from the Gunnedah community.
Sarah Clark wrote this tribute piece:
“My heart aches at the news of Mrs. Ducrow's tragic passing. She was a warm-hearted, generous woman who gave a lot of time to teaching students like me scripture in primary school. My favourite memory is her trying to teach us how to pronounce her last name - ‘it's Dew-Crow, not Duck-row!’ Rest peacefully, Mrs. Ducrow. You'll forever be in my heart.”
And this one from Carmie Ann who wrote:
“Mon Ducrow was a kind and caring lady with a happy demeanour! I went to school with her daughter Trish and niece Rosemary. They are devastated by her death and my deepest sympathy goes to them and all her family and friends. She was 'one of a kind' and will be sadly missed.”
