The Armidale side had too much power for the young Giants side smacking them 26-2 in their A grade clash.
Brodie Cleal topped the hits for the Giants with two, while Archie Yo, Josh Withers and Coen Clark all registered one hit.
In the other game, Cougars exacted some early revenge on defending champions Warriors with a 9-6 win in their grand final rematch.
The game was scoreless until the third innings despite both sides having opportunities.
Cougars made their move in the fourth through free passes from the Warriors defence and timely hits, setting up a three run lead.
Nathan Handsaker, Andres Bellow, Vali Orcher and Brad Redshaw hit well for Warriors but Cougars showed their pitching strength through Brock Ridgewell initially, and then Kris Bird, Cale Penrith and Scott Hurn.
