The annual three-day club started on Wednesday and wrapped up on Friday, 38 kids attending on the first day, and 47 on the second and third days.
Kids met characters Detective Duck and Constable Clooney who were gathering evidence with the help of forensic profiler Miss Primrose to solve the mystery of the man who defeated death.
The program included drama, games, singing, craft, and Bible verses for kids in Kindergarten through to Year 6. Kids under 5 participate in play time.
For parents, there was a chance to kick back and relax with free morning tea and coffee.
The program finished with a surprise bush dance complete with a live band. Each of the kids from the program received a junior detective pack at the dance.
A number of youth were involved in the program, helping with drama and games. One such youth, Ben Wirth, said he enjoyed being part of the team.
'It was great being able to tell people about Jesus, who he is and what he did for us,” he said.
“The bush dance was nice because it was different and you don't get to do that sort of thing very often - having a live band really gave it a great atmosphere.”
Fellow youth Michaela Langdon said it was great to see kids excited to look into the Bible.
“The team and kids were really into it which made it a great time for all,” she said.
Minister Scott Dunlop said it was the third holiday kids club the church had run as a result of good teamwork
“It was great to see a broad spectrum of people attend from Gunnedah and the surrounding community, especially non-regular church members,” he said.
“Jesus is relevant for all ages and it was encouraging to see younger children who are the church of tomorrow, keen to learn about Jesus.
“Our new ministry apprentice, Matt Stones, headed up the holiday kids club and did an outstanding job. He is fitting into the ministry role well.”
The church is starting a weekly kids club from May 4 for Years 3-6. It will run each Thursday of the school terms from 4.30pm-6pm. The costs is $1 per child, with afternoon tea included.
