Inspectors and a vet visited the Gunnedah property after NSW Police alerted them to reports from the community regarding animal welfare.
Twenty-nine adult and two juvenile Koolie dogs were seized and are still receiving veterinary care.
An RSPCA spokesperson said an investigation was underway which included videos, photos and veterinary evidence.
“From seizure we have 60 days to lodge those charges,” an RSPCA spokesperson said. “If there’s not enough evidence to charge, those animals legally have to be released.
“With any animal welfare investigation, the intention is always to do an investigation and where possible lay charges.”
The spokesperson said the condition of the dogs that were seized varied but said some were “very serious”.
There were no puppies on the property at the time of seizure.
