The group made up of council and local business representatives spent more than a week strengthening ties with the developing trade partner.
Gunnedah mayor Jamie Chaffey told the Financial Review the visit aimed to seek backing for projects that would sustain and diversify employment for the community.
"Attracting investment funds locally has been very difficult,” Cr Chaffey said from the port city Ningbo.
