The Sally Torrens-trained charge bounced back to form with a slashing effort in the $20,000 Advanced Inland Security Benchmark 55 Handicap (1200m).
Dos Santos ($13), with jockey Belinda Hodder in the saddle, loomed as a winning chance well into the home straight, only to be denied by Market Guru.
Market Guru sealed a winning treble for Tamworth trainer Sue Grills.
Torrens had three runners in action on Tuesday, Ansa and Bridget’s Star making their debut for the stable, running fifth and second-last respectively.
Gavin Groth also saddled up three chances with Jazzee Nicc running an eye-catching fourth in a 1000m Class 2 Handicap, About Time (fifth) and I’m Snazzee (last).
Alex Martyn’s Double Threat finished 10th in the 1200m maiden at start two.
