Damien Moss bought the business in 2014.
“I grew up on the farm and I’m still on the farm,” Mr Moss said.
“A friend of ours had the business and he was ready to retire, so we took it over.”
Tamworth Ground Spreading services the area from Bendemeer to Nundle, Nowendoc to Willow Tree and all around Tamworth and Gunnedah.
The two specialised ground spreading trucks can be used to spread all manner of fertilisers and manures, including urea.
The two trucks allow Mr Moss to work on two jobs at once.
“We need to respond quickly as when it rains clients want fertiliser or top dressings spread immediately.
“At the moment we are spreading sulfate of ammonia to get ready for winter cereal crops,” Mr Moss said.
“We also spread a lot of cow and chook manure.
“In the spring the focus shifts to urea and we top dress a lot of cereal crops and forage crops after their first grazing.”
