The stringent manufacturing process removes unwanted material from the organic material according to Hayden Hollis from National Farmers Warehouse, Gunnedah.
A unique intensive composting process treats the organic matter to elevated temperatures, as per the requirements of the NSW EPA and the biosecurity controls of the NSW DPI.
Over the past 12 years OGM has been applied to over 50,000 hectares of agricultural land and over 1,000 hectares of mining land for revegetation. It has also been used in many diverse situations across the district such as annual pasture applications to seedbed preparation for cotton production with substantial results. Trials showed treated paddocks yielded 4500kg more dry matter per hectare.
