Maher joined Toby Cooper, Tom Gill and Jock McPherson in the squad which finished second in the Inter Academy Challenge at the Peter O’Malley Junior Tournament.
Hunter Academy of Sport took the top prize, although it was an impressive effort from NIAS which finished seven shots adrift in the stroke format.
In the individual event, Maher placed 17th in the girls competition thanks to a 36-hole score of 176.
The golfers will now prepare for next month's Club NSW Academy Games.
