A woman was trapped inside her vehicle after crashing into a tree on Tuesday morning.
Just after 4am, a 23-year-old Gunnedah woman was travelling on the Oxley Highway, west of Carroll, when the she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree. She was trapped in the vehicle for a period of time until emergency services could free her. She was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital with a suspected broken leg and a deep laceration to the knee.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
