Guyra Milling manager Sam Barnier said they were a small locally owned and operated business that catered to the Northern Tablelands graziers plus a feedlot at Warialda. He said they could compete against much bigger companies by keeping prices competitive.
“We can do custom mixes if it’s an ongoing ration for clients or if it’s a big enough mix,” Mr Barnier said.
“There’s a nutritionist on hand to help formulate the mix.”
Guyra Milling has a 12-tonne auger truck and can deliver across the region, from Stanthorpe to Walcha.
“We pride ourselves on keeping costs low and change our prices in accordance with input costs and grain prices and we try to stay competitive that way,” he said.
Guyra Milling’s all-purpose pellet – AP14 – was on e of the mill’s most popular products.
“It’s an ideal starter feed if stock haven’t been on feed or grain before,” he said. “Then you can progress to a finishing pellet.
“It’s safe and always consistent.”
Mr Barnier said the staff was always happy to speak to people about feeding and feed requirements, even if they weren’t buying feed.
