It was a hot, humid weekend but the athletes gave it their best and came out with some great results and lots of PB’s (personal bests).
Gunnedah came 15th on the medal tally, bringing home five gold, nine silver and six bronze.
Hayden Sawyer broke the U8 discus record, winning gold, and sealed silver in the 70m sprint.
Harry Ryman won dual gold as he broke the U8 60m hurdles record and 100m sprint record, along with silver in long jump.
Oliver Shoesmith won silver in the U8 700m and a bronze in the U8 400m and Keaton Walters won bronze in U8 shot put.
Other medalists were Caitlin Guy (silver U8 700m); Lacie Kleinschafer (silver U8 Discus); Luke Jeffrey (bronze U9 60m hurdles); Isabella Sawyer (gold U10 high jump, bronze long jump; Owen Shoesmith (silver U10 200m, 60m hurdles, bronze high jump), Josh Coker (silver U12 discus, shot put), Isaac Coker (bronze U13 shot put), Ashton Harris (gold U13 3000m).
