Reconstruction to a 2km stretch of Black Stump Way north of Plain Camp has been affected.
Gunnedah Shire Council’s November meeting noted that stage 1 of works started in May 2016 but required contract profiling of the heavily cement bound pavement. Significant delays and losses of productivity were also incurred by continual rainfall events of May, June and July. Stage 2 works started in August and these too were affected by continuing rain events.
Meanwhile council's Urban Streets, Reseal Renewal Program, has been delayed due to the slow onset of warmer weather. Works are now anticipated to be completed in April 2017 rather than February.
