Gunnedah Rural Museum Men’s Shed is bringing hope this Christmas with donations to two local Christmas appeals.

The Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul were the beneficiaries of the shed’s generosity, with $200 each to be put toward their Christmas services.
Salvation Army Captain Richard Day and St Vincent de Paul representative Vince Tydd visited the shed, which boasts up to 40 members, on Wednesday to receive the donations.
“I’d like to thank the men’s shed for the donation. Every little bit helps us to provide for the community,” Salvation Army Captain Richard Day said.
“Without it we would be limited to who we could help.
“It’s about bringing hope to where it’s needed most.”
Mr Tydd echoed Captain Day’s sentiments and said St Vincent de Paul understand Christmas can be a hard time for families.
“The money will go towards providing hampers for needy families,” Mr Tydd said.
“This year we have booked in 45 hampers for families in Gunnedah.”
