Road accidents account for the most accidental deaths in Australia. This year’s death toll on NSW roads was 344 last week – up from 311 for the same time last year.
The residential home is second only to the road as the location of most accidental deaths, according to Allianz. The insurance company’s figures indicate each year about 33 per cent of all accidents occur in the home and thousands of Australians are injured.
And if you think work is safe, think again, with WorkSafe NSW reporting that over the past three years 318,447 workers were injured, 11,254 were permanently disabled and 239 died in NSW alone.
So it makes sense to be sensible when it comes to your family at work, home or play.

Browns also does wheel alignments, mechanical repairs, rego checks and is a QBE insurance agent.

Homeowners and renovators need to be aware of how to safely manage asbestos as there is no safe level of exposure to asbestos fibres.
SMK Consultants offer a range of asbestos surveying and management services.
Buildings built prior to 2003 may still contain traces of asbestos, which pose serious health risks if the fibres are breathed in.
Managing safety is the best way to prevent injuries in the workplace.
