A notable change in the competition this season is a knockout format rather than round-robin fixtures.
Gunnedah was recently knocked out of the Country Plate via a 100-run loss to Narrabri in round one, and many players from that match are expected to back up this Sunday.
Inverell meanwhile is coming off two strong wins in the Country Plate. Gunnedah could expect Dave Mudaliar, Sage Cook, Jaidon Tasker and Michael Kenny to be the danger players if Inverell fields a similar side.
Tasker and Kenny were damaging with bat and ball in a 179-run thumping of Narrabri last Sunday.
Likely Gunnedah squad: Sam Doubleday, Mitchell Swain, Brad Swain, Cameron Milne, Brad Jenkinson, Ben Haire, Adam McGuirk, Troy Sands, Vinnie Winsor, Trent Winsor, Alistair Hillard, Izaak Merlehan.
