The problem is, when you’re flying at 10,000 feet, your senses can deceive you. If the compass says you’re heading north - then you have to trust what the compass says.

If the plane’s gyroscope says that it’s flying steady, then you’d better trust its instruments. To trust in its senses would be disastrous.
Life itself is like that. It’s not wise to live life trusting in ourselves to lead us in the right direction. We may think we’re heading in the right direction when in fact we’re not. But just as the pilot has to trust his instruments, we need to trust Jesus. After all he made us and he should know how to navigate us through life and to the other side. But most importantly we need to be listening to the instruction in his Word now. For his ways, are always better than ours.
