About $4500 was raised after teams of four took part in an 18-hole Ambrose from 11am, and not even a sharp shower of rain proved a hindrance as the course was in great nick.
Numbers and the amount raised weren’t quite as high as in last year’s inaugural event, but Sunday was still a success as participants had an enjoyable time while raising funds for a worthy cause.
Winning team Renton, containing Luke Streater and Renton trio Ken, Angus and Jon, had a score of 51 1/8 while team Adams was next best with 55 7/8.
Wal Carter and Alison Dawson-Bee were Four-ball versus Par winners.
“The main reason we come here is GS Kidd School. It’s a great organisation,” Ken Renton remarked at the presentations.
Acknowledgements were made to the volunteers, bar staff, Golf Club staff, sponsors, Downer, and those who made donations.
