The online streaming broadcaster, which specialised in swing, big band and old-time dancing music from the 1940s to 60s, was regularly in touch with listeners around the world. But there was one fellow from Gunnedah who drew their attention in particular.
Presenter Ray Stuart overheard the listener’s conversation with John Laws. He suggested the Golden Tonsils play more music of the type described but the comments were dismissed.

On hearing his plight, Ray sought to let the listener know his taste of music was available free, 24 hours a day via their all-volunteer community station. And from experience, the streaming component was little hindrance.
