NSW SES Namoi Region Headquarters has released minor flood warnings for Tamworth and outlying areas, with the Namoi River in Gunnedah 4.56m and rising.
The Namoi River at Boggabri was 3.30m and falling, while the Mooki River at Breeza Station was 4.45m and rising.
The SES is predicting that a flood of 4.4m will be reached on the major Tamworth road, Bridge Street by tonight, causing moderate flooding to the areas of Jewry Street and the Riverside playing fields.
