The heavily pregnant female had an ultrasound at Gunnedah Saleyards Veterinary Clinic yesterday, with six heartbeats confirmed.
The vet who performed the ultrasound, Tina Clifton, thinks she will likely have 10 puppies.
RSPCA member Maddison Lawback said donations of blankets and good quality puppy food were still needed for the expecting mother.
