The pair attend from Mary Ranken Child Care Centre, where numerous children were spotted with red noses and red jumpers, beanies and shirts on Friday.
The NVI also paid a visit to Good Start Early Learning and was greeted with a sea of red noses on the youngsters.
Red Nose Day is an initiative of SIDS and Kids, a not-for-profit organisation created in 1977 to support families who had experienced the death of a baby from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
The organisation is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families.
Each year in Australia more than 3500 families experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, either through stillbirth or during the first month of life, from sudden unexpected death in infancy (SIDS or fatal sleeping accidents), SUDC (sudden unexpected death in childhood) or accident.
For many of these deaths there is no known cause. More than half the deaths of unborn babies during the last eight weeks of pregnancy each year are unexplained.
Red Nose Day is the main fund-raiser for SIDS and Kids, enabling SIDS and Kids to find answers for parents by funding and supporting research into stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping practices.
