Long-necked turtle Speedy, eastern blue tongue lizard Bernie, shingle back lizard Stanley, carpet python Charlie, olive python Olivia, and saltwater crocodile Snappy accompanied Crocodile Encounters presenter Ben Harvey and his son Braden from Sydney.
Ben taught the children about each of the animals and how to behave if they come across their kind in the wild.
The reptiles were all born in captivity and were on their best behaviour at the preschool despite the excitement and noise of the children as they
became acquainted with their unusual visitors.
The snakes and crocodile caused quite a stir, with teacher Meaghan Kelly volunteering to get up close and personal with Olivia the three-year-old olive python. She also had a close encounter with Snappy when Ben suggested in jest that she give the crocodile a kiss.
The annual visit from Crocodile Encounters is a highlight for the preschoolers.
