A large crowd attended the 9am Anzac service at the Curlewis cenotaph.

Students from numerous schools including Curlewis Public School, Gunnedah High School and St Xaviers Primary School attended the service.
Gunnedah Shire Band were in fine form, and Joy Wilson gave the commemorative address.
Phoebe Neil led the attendants in prayer, followed by Bible verses read by Curlewis Primary School students Jake Kingdom and Ebony Thomson.
Gunnedah High School student Blake Partridge gave a youth's perspective on Anzac, which was warmly applauded for its maturity and expression.
"We've never had to live through times of war... Too often we take life and beauty for granted," he told the audience.
"Soldiers as young as me were landing on Gallipoli on this day.
"Not matter how young we are, we must always say thank you."
After the laying of the wreaths, band member Emma Cleal played the Last Post and the Lament.
